The Swiss Business Club Hungary (SBC) is an association of people who have a close connection to Switzerland, such as Swiss citizens, people married to Swiss nationals, employees of Swiss companies, individuals who have lived in Switzerland for an extended period, etc., and who speak one of the national languages.

The SBC is open to individuals who are interested in Swiss-Hungarian economic life and who wish to support the Swiss business community with their relationships and experience through advice and active involvement.

SBC members meet once a month in an informal setting for company visits, cultural activities, or culinary excursions. During these events, both personal and business relationships are established, maintained, and strengthened. The club also aims to promote the exchange of information among members on economic, legal, and private matters.

The club was founded in 2005 and has been a registered association under Hungarian law since 2009. The SBC maintains close contact with the Swiss Embassy in Budapest, Swisscham Hungary, and the Organization of the Swiss Abroad (ASO).

55th Kékszalag Regatta in Balatonfüred

On the occasion of the start of the 55th Kékszalag Regatta in Balatonfüred, the Swiss Embassy and Swisscham Hungary invited SBC members to attend. The event was organized in cooperation with the regatta partner, Philip Morris. This gave us the opportunity to experience the start of the race up close from various boats.

CALIDA Company Visit in Rajka

The CALIDA Group is an internationally active underwear company based in Sursee, Switzerland, with a production facility in Rajka, Hungary. The SBC was given insight into the production of the company’s traditional luxury lingerie as well as daywear and nightwear.

The afternoon program included a visit to the Danubiana Meulensteen Art Museum in Čunovo, Bratislava, Slovakia.

Visit to Hungary Aliment Kft. in Felsőlajos

Hungary Aliment Kft. operates in the trade of fresh and frozen poultry, game, and rabbit meat. The SBC was welcomed with an excellent breakfast followed by an informative company tour.

Afterward, the group continued to Kiskunfélegyháza for a “Pálinka tasting,” and then traveled to Csólyospálos to the Csipkerózsa Parkhotel, owned by an SBC member, where the SBC spent a wonderful weekend together.

Company Visit to Holes Kunststoffverarbeitungs Werke in Újpest

Visit to an SBC member company, Holes Kft., in Újpest. Holes Kft. is one of Central Europe’s leading manufacturers of technical plastic molded parts.

After the company tour, the SBC enjoyed a wine tasting in Budakalász along with delicious Swabian specialties at Schieszl Vendéglő és Borház. In the cozy setting, our new members from the company “Juno 11” also introduced themselves with an interesting presentation.

“Juno 11” produces films, commercials, corporate videos, and infographics across a wide range of genres and budgets.

Company Visit to “Ziegler Ostya” in Zsámbék

Visit to Ziegler GmbH in Zsámbék, a family business that has achieved national and international success in the wafer market. Ziegler produces a variety of wafers using waffle machines specially developed and manufactured by the company itself.

Afterward, in beautiful autumn weather, the group visited the famous church ruins in Zsámbék. The enjoyable day concluded with a round of bowling and a delicious roast suckling pig dinner in Páty.

The SBC gathered for its monthly meeting at the Csipkerózsa Parkhotel, owned by one of the club members in Csólyospálos.
